Team Leader - Integrated Environment Planning - Herts and North London - 31693
The Environment Agency is seeking a Team Leader to provide leadership and direction to the Integrated Environment Planning (IEP) team in the Herts and North London Area. The team delivers environmental improvements for water quality, water resources and river catchments, with a key focus on working with water companies on their investment programmes. You will promote inclusion, support your team’s development, manage health, safety and wellbeing, and balance work to maximise environmental benefit.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction to the IEP team in Herts and North London.
* Coordinate delivery of environmental improvements for water quality, water resources and river catchments; collaborate with water companies and the National Directorate to ensure commitments to the environment are met.
* Maintain health, safety and wellbeing of the team; identify training needs and support professional development; adapt ways of working to meet future needs.
* Balance team workload to focus on areas delivering the greatest environmental benefit.
* Oversee budgets, work planning and recruitment; adapt to changing priorities.
* Act as a role model to promote inclusion by respecting differences in the workforce and building a supportive, engaging workplace.
* Participate in the Environment Agency’s Incident response; be available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support; incident role may attract additional payment and full training; alternative working arrangements will be provided where needed.
