Finance Director - UK Online Sports Betting & Casino Operator - Hybrid - Liverpool
Arnold Ash Group are partnered with the CEO of a well-established and ambitious UK online sports betting and casino operator entering an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation to identify and attract a commercially astute and forward-thinking Finance Director to lead their finance function and play a central role in shaping the future of the business.
Working directly with the CEO and senior leadership team, this is a high-impact role with full ownership of the finance department and strategic input across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis
* Work closely with the CEO on strategic planning, commercial decisions, and overall business direction
* Drive modernisation of finance systems, tools, and processes, building a future-fit finance function
* Oversee budgeting, financial modelling, performance metrics, and regulatory compliance
* Provide clear insights and recommendations to support growth, investment, and operational efficiency
* Manage relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and key external stakeholders
* Lead on cost control, profitability analysis, and business case development for new initiatives
* Build and mentor a high-performing finance team aligned with the company's culture and goals
What our client are for:
* A qualified finance professional (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in a senior finance leadership role
* Experience in online gambling, gaming, or digital consumer sectors is essential
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link finance to strategic outcomes
* Demonstrated ability to modernise finance processes, including systems migration or automation projects
* Confident communicator who can work closely with executive teams and influence at board level
* Hands-on and pragmatic – willing to dive into detail when needed, while keeping a strategic mindset
