Job Description
We’re seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to join our Corporate Tax Business in Scotland. This is a permanent role to be based at either our Edinburgh, Stirling or Kirkcaldy office.
Managing your own portfolio of clients, working with Partners on delivery of corporate tax services. A significant part of the role will be to oversee the corporate tax compliance offering as well as providing training to the existing team and to create a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise.
Responsibilities
* Manage portfolio of compliance cases
* Undertake some consultancy work
* Give exceptional client service
* Identify opportunities on client portfolio
* Liaison with Partners
* Appraisals/monitor staff performance
* Providing on the job training for junior staff on a one-to-one basis
* Involved in business development activities/profile raising locally
* Able to take advantage of marketing/PR opportunities
* Ensuring procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevant
Qualifications
* Demonstrate significant corporate tax experience gained within the profession
* Be a technically capable tax adviser who is able to manage complex client work
* Demonstrate experience of managing people and clients
* Have existing business development skills and appetite to grow business
* Have project management experienceExperience of dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
* Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) and/or tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent
