Shape the future of Public Building Retrofit in Greater Manchester
Join the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s (GMCA) Low Carbon team as a Project Manager (Level 2) and take a leading role in one of the UK’s most ambitious regional responses to the climate emergency. This is more than just a project management role; it's an opportunity to influence the region’s transition to a carbon-neutral economy by 2038.
As part of a dynamic, mission-driven team, you’ll lead relationship and project management for the Public Building Retrofit Fund (PBRf). This fund will allocate up to £28 million in capital funding between 2025 and 2028, supporting efforts to reduce emissions from heating and improve energy performance across the public estate in the region.
The public sector plays a key role in Greater Manchester’s move to net zero. This fund aims not only to cut emissions but also to foster green innovation, support local jobs, and deliver warmer, more efficient buildings for communities.
Join us to help public bodies become more sustainable, resilient, and cost-effective. You will also provide leadership within the team, shape work plans, mentor junior colleagues, and support the wider public sector in delivering scalable low-carbon solutions.
We seek someone with extensive project management skills, experience in relationship management within the built environment sector, and a passion for making a tangible impact.
If you’re ready to turn strategy into action and passion into progress, we want to hear from you.
