We have an opportunity for you to join Thames Water as a Network Metering Technician on a full-time permanent basis.
The Network Metering Technician will ensure the effective maintenance and repair of district/zonal meters and critical pressure points to increase the reliability and availability of reporting systems.
This role involves travelling around your designated region, fixing and repairing meters and pressure points using fault diagnostic procedures and specialist test equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Use planning systems to review and retrieve activity for maintenance.
2. Review history and develop maintenance strategies using technical systems.
3. Make technical decisions impacting the network and customer experience.
4. Work with field teams and control to resolve flow and pressure issues.
5. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on meters and pressure points.
6. Maintain key material/equipment stocks on your van.
Candidate Requirements:
* Time served apprentice with significant electrical systems experience.
* Electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, BTEC, or C&G level 3 qualification.
* Electrical instrumentation experience, ideally City and Guilds qualified.
* Experience with electrical trade and instrument programming advantageous.
* Driven, organized, safety-conscious, and reliable.
* Experience with SCADA systems and equipment programming.
* Good communication skills and a full UK driving license.
