Care Assistant Care and Support - Bearehill Care Home Contract: Full Time and Part- Time Salary: £12.70 Per Hour Shift type: Days & Nights Available Contracted hours: Full Time and Part Time Bearhill care home, set within beautiful grounds in the town of Brechin, provides the highest standards of Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 49 residents. You will be a key member of the care team, supporting the delivery of excellent, person centred care while promoting the values and ethos of the home. As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in a close knit team, ensuring residents receive compassionate support each day. You will assist with daily routines, encourage independence and help to maintain each resident’s health, wellbeing and happiness. What We Offer £12.70 per hour Full time and part time contracts available on day shift and night shift Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract What You Will Do You will support residents with their daily routines, including personal care, dressing and mobility, while encouraging independence and choice. You will follow individual care plans and provide attentive, person centred support that reflects each resident’s preferences and needs. You will observe and report any changes in health or wellbeing to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager and assist with communication with relatives and healthcare professionals. You will promote dignity, respect and privacy at all times and help to create a warm, welcoming and socially engaging environment within the home. You will work with colleagues to maintain safe, clean and comfortable living spaces, respond promptly to call bells and provide support with eating and drinking where required. Above all, you will bring kindness, reassurance and positivity to residents each day. About You SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred. Previous experience as a Care Assistant is desirable, however candidates with a genuine passion for care and transferable skills will be considered.
