We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our team during an exciting time in the South-west as we open a flag-ship depot in Avonmouth in the coming 18-months. As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for providing financial stewardship for the current Thornbury depot & oversight to the Portbury depot, both of which will migrate into the flagship site upon opening. To be successful in this role you will need to act professionally, objectively and independently during a time of high focus to provide business management with a clear view of financial performance that will allow you to challenge and advise. Support the General Manager & site management teams with high quality analysis and insight, holding reviews and providing commentary Support the business cost transformation objective & wider business activities Prepare and manage budgets and reforecasts, ensuring that accurate and consistent use of assumptions Manage the weekly reporting & forecasting processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy, working alongside the operational teams to complete submissions Produce monthly management accounts, taking ownership of balance sheet for business area Ad hoc tasks as required Who you are: Your skills and experience will include: Qualified in financial management (CIMA or ACCA) with experience Preferably a good understanding of the business and the market in which it operates Relationship building and influencing skills at a site management level Excellent analytical skills and the ability to share detailed analysis with non-finance operational leads Customer interface and commercial management Confident communicator with strong presentation skills Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality at all times Displays drive and tenacity in implementing the Finance agenda Operates ethically with integrity Display behaviours consistent with Gist values Why Gist?
