We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a high-profile £50million+ construction project in Bristol as the Commercial Lead on site. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the commercial aspects of a major scheme, working with a dynamic and collaborative management team.
The successful candidate will have significant contracting experience and a proven track record of leading large-scale projects. With commercial sign-off already in place, this role is ready for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the commercial lead on site, overseeing all quantity surveying duties for the project.
* Manage cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting to ensure project profitability.
* Negotiate contracts, manage subcontractor agreements, and ensure commercial compliance.
* Collaborate closely with the project management team to deliver the scheme on time and within budget.
* Provide strategic commercial advice and leadership to drive project success.
Candidate Requirements
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, with a strong contracting background.
* Proven ability to lead large-scale projects (£50m+) as the primary Project Surveyor.
* Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Strong communication and leadership abilities to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
* Must be based within a commutable distance to Bristol.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or related field) are desirable.
