EnsuringTarmac results are reported in line with relevant accounting standards, providingbusiness partnering support and coaching to the business to improve compliance with Group accounting policies.Proactively input into the structuring of business transactions to ensure optimum outcomes are achieved from both a commercial and accounting perspectiveWorks directly with the business to advise on a wide range of complex accounting issues and technical accounting opinions and working with CRH Group Accounting team where requiredLeads on the implementation of any new accounting standards and changes in accounting guidanceWorkingclosely with the end to end reporting team to ensure alignment of accounting practices with most up to date Group guidanceOversight of the preparation of annual statutory accounts for all UK subsidiariesOverseeTarmac Group consolidation processat periodendand responsible for a number of key SOx controls within the groupKey role in managing group and statutory external auditsOversee preparation of the monthly financial pack for the CFOManage thehalf yearly and year end financial reporting to GroupAlso overseeoperational treasury requirements and UK corporate head office companiesCoaching and developing a team of 7.Your key stakeholders will be our Finance Director, Director of Group Finance & Business Planning, Head of Shared Services, Business Unit Heads of Finance, CRH Group Accounting Team & our External Auditors.The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a fully qualified ACA / ACCA / ACMA accountant with an excellent grasp of financial standards and regulations.You must have the ability to communicate with other areas of the business in an easily understandable manner when advising in technical accounting matters. You must also be able to engage, influence and build relationships with varied stakeholders at all levels across Tarmac.You must be well organised, able to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritise to meet deadlines.
