About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Longton, Preston. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and thrive in the school environment. This is a maternity cover role with possible long term opportunities. May need to Drive.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individualised support to a designated pupil with SEND, both in and out of the classroom.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and adapt learning materials.
* Assist with developing the pupil's confidence, social skills, and emotional well-being.
* Implement strategies from Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing, inclusive environment.
* Build strong relationships with staff, parents, and external professionals.
About You

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Teaching assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
