Interim Payroll Manager – 8 Month FTC
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Interim Payroll Manager to join our team on a temporary basis. The Interim Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees, and managing payroll-related accounting tasks. This position is critical to maintaining our commitment to accurate financial reporting and employee satisfaction.
To be successful within this role you will need a background and understanding of Payroll. This paired with brilliant organisational skills, fluency within Excel and proven management experience.
Day to day duties will include:
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Support with processing payroll adjustments, bonuses, overtime, deductions etc.
* Maintain payroll records in the payroll system as well as the Time and Attendance System.
* Support with Month End KPI reporting, HMRC submissions etc.
* Provide guidance and support to the payroll team, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle day-to-day tasks.
* Escalation point for queries from employees, venues, and management.
* Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll and accounting-related issues.
* The current processes for payroll come from multiple systems, so an ability to pick up multiple systems quickly is imperative.
What you will need:
* Proven experience in Payroll Management.
* Certified Payroll Professional (CIPP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
* Accounting, Finance, or a related field is advantageous.
* Advanced ability with Excel and formulas
* Proficiency with payroll and accounting software (Ideally Earnie IQ and SAP Accounts)
* Excellent knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
