Were working with a global player in specialty chemicals, manufacturing facility based in Middlewich, with over 30 years of experience supplying bespoke and off the shelf solutions to industries around the world. As the business continues to expand, were looking to bring in a bright, proactive Sales & Business Development Executive to join their growing commercial team.

About the role:
Youll be joining a stable and forward-thinking sales team, reporting to the UK Sales Manager. This is a varied, hands on commercial role where youll be responsible for managing existing accounts and driving new business across key UK markets. Youll be out meeting customers, crafting tailored solutions, and helping shape the future of the sales function as the business expands its reach.
This role would suit someone from an internal sales background whos ready to get out into the field, or a commercially driven graduate/early career professional whos looking to build a long-term future in chemical sales.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and nurture existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
Identify new opportunities via market research and networking
Work with customers to understand technical requirements and provide tailored solutions
Travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally Europe
Create and execute a clear sales strategy aligned with business objectives
Represent the company at industry events and keep ahead of market trends
Collaborate closely with the technical, production and marketing teams
Build long-term, trusted partnerships with clients
What were looking for:
23 years B2B sales experience (internal or field), ideally in chemicals (manufacturing or distribution)
A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a similar technical subject
Commercial drive, credibility, and a passion for developing customer relationships
A self starter whos happy working autonomously but values collaboration
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
Experience or interest in surfactants, silicone emulsions, or antifoam agents is a bonus
Exposure to sectors like water treatment, coatings, construction, or food & beverage would be helpful though not essential
