We are currently working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Reading that is looking for a Family Legal Secretary to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning and supportive firm. Your responsibilities will include: Deliver full secretarial support to a high-volume family law team, ensuring smooth daily operations. Organise and maintain solicitors' schedules by arranging appointments, meetings, and managing diaries. Accurately transcribe and type legal documents, correspondence, and detailed reports. Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, providing outstanding client support. Assist with administrative duties such as preparing court paperwork and completing legal forms. Contribute to the effective functioning of the family law department by supporting team activities. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive client information and legal issues. The successful candidate: Proven background as a legal secretary, preferably supporting a family law practice. Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and understanding approach when dealing with clients. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Experienced in typing from audio recordings and copying documents with precision. Skilled at managing schedules and arranging appointments in a busy office setting. Works well within a team environment, demonstrating initiative and a positive mindset. Familiarity with current legal software is preferred.
