Composites Manufacturing Engineer

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for SC clearance and have been a UK resident for the past 5 years.
Key Responsibilities
* Driving continuous improvement using lean tools and techniques, improving efficiency and reducing waste
* Leading RCCA activities and implementing corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat non‑conformances
* Developing and maintaining job cards and manufacturing documentation through to production handover
* Supporting first‑off manufacture and validating processes with production teams
* Selecting appropriate materials, tooling, fixtures, and jigs for composite manufacturing
* Delivering manufacturing engineering projects from concept through to full production implementation
* Ensuring manufacturing methods are practical, efficient and aligned with design intent
Qualifications
* Qualified Engineer
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes within a regulated production environment
* Experience with composite materials and associated manufacturing methods (pre‑preg, advanced composites, autoclave, lay‑up)
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
* Demonstrable problem‑solving capability using structured techniques such as RCCA
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and translate them into practical manufacturing processes
* A proactive, hands‑on approach and the ability to support production teams effectively
