Description Pupil Support Worker St Crispin's School Salary: £26,337-£28,835 (pro-rata for part time and sessional) Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional St Crispin’s is a special school for primary and secondary age pupils. The school meets the needs of learners with complex, long term additional support needs who require a significantly modified learning environment. The needs of learners are primarily associated with intellectual disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders. We moved into our new building in Burdiehouse in early 2022. Facilities include 13 classrooms, Art, Music, Home Economics classrooms, a PE hall and swimming pool. We also benefit from sensory and softplay rooms. Each class has a maximum of 6 learners. Pupil Support Workers work as part of a class team, along with the class teacher, to support each learner to reach their full potential. It is desirable that applicants should have experience working with children with learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Previous experience of working in a school would be desirable. PSWs do not work during the 12 weeks of school holidays, however total salary is paid in 12 equal monthly payments, over the year.
