Nestled along the stunning English Riviera, the hotel will offer guests breathtaking views of Tor Bay and access to some of Torquays most iconic beaches and walking trails where you can truly appreciate nature. Close to local attractions, including the historic Torre Abbey and the lively harbour, guests can also indulge in the region's renowned culinary scene featuring fresh seafood and artisanal delights. As a Housekeeping Manager, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing)
* Supporting and reporting into our Rooms Division Manager by managing the Housekeeping Team, training and developing them to providing an excellent level of standards
* Creating and managing the Housekeeping rota to ensure efficient cover whilst staying with budget goals and requirements
* Recruiting and training new starters to the Housekeeping Team, you will be building your team and managing turnover
* Focussing on continuous improvement, creating a culture where team members can speak up to make suggestions on how to improve the departments efficiencies
* Working closely with the wider Hotel Team to work as one team in managing the Hotels goals and expectations
We are searching for a true service superstar, someone who thrives in providing our Guests with an excellent service throughout their stay. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has.
* Experience and Leadership: Proven experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry, demonstrating strong leadership skills and leading by example.
* Attention to Detail and Organisational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail to uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property, combined with excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Communication and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and other departments, along with the ability to address and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
* Knowledge of Standards and Budget Management: Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in housekeeping, as well as experience in managing budgets and controlling costs related to housekeeping operations to optimize efficiency and quality.
