If so, weâd love to hear from you!\n\nThis opportunity is funded by Skills Development Scotland through the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme.\n\nNo academic entry requirements are required â every applicant is assessed at the interview stage.\n\nWhat Youâll Gain:-\n⢠Experience working in a fun and rewarding career making a real difference in childrenâs lives.\n⢠Practical workplace experience for 12-15 months, while studying towards a nationally recognised qualification.\n⢠The opportunity to progress to a career as a qualified Early Years Practitioner.\n⢠Realising the important role you play in a childâs learning and development journey.\n\nHours & Pay:-\n⢠Full-time: 35â40 hours per week (MondayâFriday in nursery, or varied hours in Out of School Care settings).\n⢠Rate of Pay: £7.55 per hour (National Minimum Wage for Modern Apprentices). As a Modern Apprentice, you will:\n⢠Work towards a SCQF Level 7 qualification in partnership with Carousel Training Centre and your Employer.\n⢠Attend monthly training classes and receive regular support from an Assessor.\n⢠Gain the SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People).\n⢠Build the skills and knowledge to become a qualified Early Years Practitioner in just 12â15 months.\n\nKey Responsibilities:-\n⢠Work with the staff team to create a safe, positive environment for children.\n⢠Be a valued member of a team.\n⢠Support staff in delivering fun, active, and educational activities.\n⢠Gain hands-on experience with children from babies to pre-school age.\n⢠Learn how children develop through creative play and activities.\n⢠Support with personal care tasks (toileting, dressing, feeding).\n⢠Engage with parents/carers to support each childâs learning journey.\n⢠Help with nursery routines, including snack preparation and cleaning equipment.\n⢠Following nursery safeguarding procedures to ensure all children are safe and secure. What Weâre Looking For:-\n⢠Enthusiastic and confident individuals who want to work in a Nursery or Out of School Care setting.\n⢠Good communication skills and a genuine desire to support the development of young children.\n⢠The ability to engage and interact enthusiastically with children.\n\nNo previous experience is required â just passion, commitment, and a willingness to learn.
