Job Description:
As Service Engineer within NOV’s Rig Aftermarket (RA) Team, you will be responsible for the repair and inspection of NOV Rig equipment globally, both offshore and onshore. You will make recommendations to customers to ensure equipment operates efficiently and profitably. Your role involves reacting to 'rig down' situations as a top priority and supporting installation and commissioning projects involving Rig Floor Equipment (RFE) and Pressure Control Equipment (PCE).
This position is home-based within mainland UK, with global travel expected on an ad-hoc basis. You will receive comprehensive training on product lines and on-the-job experience from senior Service Engineers. Participation in NOV's Global Competency Program is key for your development. Success depends on your ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics and troubleshoot equipment faults. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Escalate key faults or product failures to relevant departments and follow through to resolution.
* Inspect NOV equipment for conformance with operational standards.
* Respond to emergency 'rig down' situations when required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* HNC in a relevant engineering qualification or equivalent (desirable).
EXPERIENCE:
* Experience in installation, commissioning, overhaul, fault finding, and repair of heavy machinery or automation equipment (essential).
* Knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics in manufacturing environments (essential).
* Experience in similar roles offshore or in automation (desirable).
SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics (essential).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is desirable.
