SEO Manager (Ecommerce)
London (Hybrid – 2 days per week in-office)

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead organic search strategy and execution across a portfolio of ecommerce clients. You'll be responsible for driving sustainable organic growth through technical SEO, content strategy, and on-site optimisation, working closely with account and performance teams in an agency environment.
This role is ideal for someone who blends strong technical SEO knowledge with commercial thinking and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
Own end-to-end SEO strategy for a portfolio of ecommerce clients
Develop and implement technical, on-page, and content-led SEO roadmaps
Conduct site audits covering technical health, indexation, site architecture, and performance
Lead keyword research and search intent mapping to support category, product, and content strategies
Optimise ecommerce templates (PLPs, PDPs, collections) to drive rankings and revenue
Performance & Optimisation
Monitor organic performance across rankings, traffic, revenue, and conversion metrics
Identify growth opportunities through competitor analysis and SERP insights
Track and report on SEO impact using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, and SEO platforms
Measure and communicate SEO's contribution to wider performance and revenue goals
Client & Team Collaboration
Act as the SEO subject matter expert for assigned ecommerce accounts
Present SEO strategies, insights, and performance updates to clients
Work closely with Account Directors, Paid Media, CRO, Content, and Development teams
Support junior team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing
Agency & Growth Contribution
Contribute SEO expertise to new business pitches, audits, and proposals
Help evolve SEO processes, documentation, and best practices across the agency
Stay up to date with algorithm updates, ecommerce SEO trends, and platform changes
Skills & Experience
Required
3+ years of SEO experience, ideally within an agency environment
Strong ecommerce SEO background with experience driving organic revenue growth
Solid technical SEO knowledge (crawling, indexing, site architecture, Core Web Vitals)
Experience with content optimisation and search intent–driven strategies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations
Confident communicator with experience presenting to clients
Preferred
Experience working with large or complex ecommerce sites
Familiarity with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
Experience collaborating with developers and product teams
Understanding of CRO and how SEO supports on-site performance
