About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Newcastle for a long-term position. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting children’s learning and development across the primary age range.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
* Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required
* Work closely with teaching staff to plan and prepare learning activities
* Provide targeted interventions to support pupil progress
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEN where appropriate
Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Proven experience working within a primary school setting
* Strong classroom management skills
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for education and child development
