Senior UK Finance Manager
We are seeking a Senior UK Finance Manager for a global leader in Home Mechanical Ventilation, Airway Clearance, and Sleep Therapy, based in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The role involves overseeing the UK entity's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives within the UK and Group. Strong leadership and a solid understanding of financial principles are essential.
This position leads the UK Finance team and represents the UK within the Global Finance Team. It also involves being part of the UK senior management team to ensure effective management and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Finance: Oversee the UK Finance function, lead the local Finance team, maintain and enhance financial controls, and ensure compliance with UK regulations and Group standards.
2. Act as a finance business partner to senior managers and functional leads.
3. Manage month and year-end closings, ensuring timely and high-quality financial reporting.
4. Prepare internal and external financial reports, including Annual Financial Statements.
5. Ensure compliance with financial reporting and taxation requirements.
6. Analyze business performance, KPIs, and understand cost structures.
7. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
8. Manage cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
9. Coordinate external audits and statutory reporting.
10. Manage relationships with regulatory authorities, auditors, and tax agencies.
11. Authorize financial transactions, including payroll and payments.
12. Oversee credit management and customer compliance.
13. Review and approve tax computations, VAT returns, and tax administration.
14. Improve finance routines and processes, and drive business growth through financial insights.
15. Maintain professional financial knowledge and compliance standards.
16. Serve as a superuser for JDE Finance UK and oversee ERP system knowledge dissemination.
17. Collaborate closely with HQ Finance and key suppliers.
18. Lead and develop the UK Finance team.
HR & Payroll:
1. Manage administration of insurance, pensions, and employee benefits.
2. Support legal and insurance renewals.
3. Authorize payroll and employee benefits transactions.
UK Senior Management Team:
1. Participate in the UK senior management team, aligning strategic goals.
2. Contribute to regulatory committees and policies.
3. Partner with the UK Managing Director and senior managers.
Requirements:
* Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
* Understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
* Collaborative working across functions and with global partners.
* Minimum six years of senior finance experience.
* BSc in Accounting or Finance.
* Experience with tier 1 ERP systems.
* Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP.
* International group experience preferred.
* Experience in SME manufacturing environments.
* Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
* Strong group and statutory reporting skills.
* Leadership experience with team management skills.
* Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
* Hybrid working model, with at least 3 days in the office.
