Job Description
3. Act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO and SLT, advising on financial strategy, performance, and investment.
4. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling aligned with organisational goals.
5. Provide insightful financial analysis to support commercial decisions and service development.
6. Monitor financial performance, identify risks/opportunities, and support corrective actions.
7. Develop pricing models and cost recovery strategies for commercial contracts.
8. Ensure compliance with financial policies, charity regulations, and contractual obligations.
9. Prepare and present management information packs and financial reports to senior stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
Essential:
10. Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or finalist with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
11. Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
12. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
13. Experience influencing senior stakeholders and working cross-functionally with non-finance teams.
14. Skilled in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modelling) and accounting software.
15. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
16. The ability to start this role immediately
Desirable:
17. Knowledge of charity/social enterprise financial frameworks (SORP, Gift Aid, Restricted Funds).
18. Experience with SaaS business models, unit economics, and customer profitability.
19. Familiarity with public sector commissioning (e.g. NHS, local authorities).
20. Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau or other BI tools.
21. Understanding of social impact reporting and ESG metrics.
