We welcome applications from enthusiastic, caring, and highly motivated individuals new to healthcare. We will recruit Healthcare Support Workers to work in a variety of wards and services at Homerton University Hospital and Community Sites. You will work closely with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team, delivering high‑quality care to patients by helping with routine activities associated with the ward.
There are no set entry requirements to become a Healthcare Support Worker; good literacy and numeracy skills are expected. You will be supported to complete the Care Certificate, which is required for this role.
Main Duties
* Assist with patient hygiene needs, toileting, nutritional intake, mobility, and physical comfort.
* Monitor and record vital signs.
* Communicate effectively and work independently as well as part of a team.
* Contribute to assessment of patients' activities of daily living and care required, in conjunction with registered staff.
