Job Title: Lecturer in Foundation Learning
Salary: £32,938 - £40,725 (pro rata)
Location: Huddersfield
Hours and weeks per year: 30 hours / 52 weeks
At Kirklees College we are looking for new talent and welcome applications from all sectors. Whether in a teaching & learning role or in one of our specialised Business Support functions, you'll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of construction workers, engineers, health workers and countless others.
In this role you will predominantly be based at Waterfront, Huddersfield and will focus on delivering bespoke and personalised programmes to students with SEND/SEMH.
Key Responsibilities
* Teaching students with SEND/SEMH
* Monitoring and assessing students in accordance with the requirements of the programme and contributing to the Quality Improvement Strategy
* Contribute to curriculum development, design and delivery in response to changing requirements and new demands
* Maintaining and monitoring college systems
Qualifications
Ideally you will have a PGCE with a specialism in SEND/SEMH and demonstrable experience in teaching young people with SEND/SEMH. Experience delivering functional skills English and Maths would also be advantageous. You should be able to communicate effectively and engage with young people with a wide range of learning needs and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
