Overview
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Worcestershire to assist with the appointment of a Get Safe Community Link Worker, on an 11-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.69- £17.72 per hour
Summary
The Get Safe Community Link Worker will support the prevention and disruption of child criminal exploitation (CCE) across Worcestershire. The role focuses on equipping voluntary sector youth workers with the knowledge, skills, and resilience needed to engage vulnerable young people at risk of, or already involved in, criminal exploitation.
Working directly with both youth workers and young people, the postholder will provide advice, training, and intensive, persistent support. They will also build partnerships across families, schools, health, and statutory services to strengthen safeguarding networks and move young people onto positive pathways away from exploitation.
Responsibilities
* Train and mentor voluntary youth workers to identify, engage, and support young people at risk of exploitation.
* Support young people identified as at risk of, or entrenched in, exploitation, using a flexible, persistent approach.
* Facilitate access to positive activities, health services, and specialist support (e.g., substance misuse, housing).
* Promote collaborative, young-person-led interventions across the county.
* Ensure all work complies with safeguarding legislation, data protection, equality, and health & safety policies.
Essentials
* Experience of working with vulnerable young people in social care, youth work, education, or related settings.
* Recognised qualification in youth work, social care, education, or community development.
* Experience in evaluation, monitoring outcomes, and contributing to service improvement.
* Knowledge of Worcestershires local services and community resources.
