Overview
The Development Manager will play a vital role in growing and further positioning allmanhall as the leading food procurement provider in the Care sector.
Responsibilities
* Generate leads through proactive prospecting and following up incoming leads
* Listen to prospect needs and scope a solution, determining if they are in or out of scope for allmanhall
* Manage sales activity and pipeline to achieve targets and conversion rates
* Lead the full sales process and collaborate with the wider team to deliver insightful proposals and presentations
* Represent allmanhall at industry events and promote our solutions and USPs
* Keep Salesforce up to date with accurate and timely information to support reporting and forecasts
* Finalize contractual terms in collaboration with Directors to close deals
* Extensive presentation activity – to prospects, at events, and internally to SMT and directors
* Keep an eye on what is going on in the Care sector and help hone our offer with the marketing team and SMT
* Ensure a smooth handover of new clients to the mobilisation team
Qualifications
* Previous experience in sales / business development
* Experience in foodservice, procurement, or catering industries
* Proven record of closing sales deals and meeting targets
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Excellent at relationship building and networking
* Proactive and results-driven with strong organisational skills
* Familiarity with CRM systems, especially Salesforce
* Ability to work independently and also as part of a collaborative team
* Full UK driving licence and access to private transport to attend sales meetings
* Understanding of the Care sector, knowledge of sustainability practices or client service delivery
* Experience of working with contracts and business terms

Contract Details
Contract Hours: Full-time, permanent: 37 hours per week. Monday to Friday 08:45 - 17:15 (with an early finish on Friday at 16:15). Would consider part‑time. Salary: OTE £70,000 (circa £45,000 basic per annum FTE plus monthly car allowance plus commission/bonus opportunities). Work location: Working from the Head Office - SN13 0NY, with approximately once a week initially, plus working from home or with clients in the field for the majority of the time.
