This post offers an opportunity for a Part-Time Registered Dental Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team and support the specialty in providing high standards of patient care.
The successful candidate will be a Registered Dental Nurse interested in developing the service for our patients. We welcome applications for this Band 4 role from those with experience in Dental Nursing and/or Orthodontics.
We also consider newly qualified Dental Nurses with relevant experience. We seek a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help us deliver outstanding treatment and care.
This is a great opportunity to develop and expand your skills as a dental nurse.
You will assist in Orthodontics, Restorative, and specialized clinics such as Orthognathic, as well as Oral Surgery clinics, day surgery theatres, and minor oral surgery operations.
The candidate must hold and maintain registration with The General Dental Council (GDC) as a Dental Care Professional and show evidence of ongoing professional development through CPD.
Main duties of the job:
1. Provide a high level of dental nursing care throughout the department. This includes caring for patients with special needs, vulnerable children and adults, the elderly, and patients with complex health conditions, infectious risks, or challenging behaviors.
2. Deliver high-standard chairside assistance across all dental specialties within the department, supporting clinicians of all grades. Maintain high standards of infection control.
3. Be adaptable and flexible, working across Trust sites as required.
