About the Opportunity
Holistx is working on behalf of a long-established distribution and solutions provider to hire an experienced
IT Infrastructure Manager & Database Administrator
. This is a pivotal role supporting end-to-end IT infrastructure across the business, combining strategic oversight with hands-on technical execution.
This opportunity suits someone who enjoys variety and wants to stay close to the technology while shaping the next phase of IT transformation and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure including desktop environments, servers, network security and telephony systems
• Manage and administer SQL Server databases for data manipulation, reporting and integration
• Lead SAP Business One upgrade configuration, implementation and ongoing support
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business objectives
• Develop and enforce IT policies, security protocols and disaster recovery plans
• Manage third-party vendors to maintain optimal IT services and uptime
• Provide technical support and training to internal users, troubleshooting issues and deploying upgrades
The Ideal Candidate
• 5–10 years' experience in IT management and database administration within SME or mid-sized environments
• Extensive, hands-on experience with
SAP Business One
(essential)
• Proficiency in SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures and data transformation tasks
• Strong technical skills across Windows OS, network infrastructure and cloud platforms
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication abilities
• Confident leading multiple projects and delivering to tight deadlines
Desirable Attributes
• Experience with SAP Business One integrations and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or Power BI
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards
• Ability to explain complex IT concepts in clear business language
• Comfortable implementing system upgrades and delivering training and support
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related discipline preferred
