Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a diverse and fast-paced group of trading companies operating across multiple sectors. Based in Guisborough, this role offers flexibility in hours (full or part-time) and the chance to work in a dynamic finance team supporting multiple business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Registering and matching purchase invoices in Sage
* Resolving invoice queries efficiently
* Entering payments into the company banking system
* Performing monthly purchase statement reconciliations
* Sending payment remittances to suppliers
* Setting up new supplier and customer accounts in Sage
* Maintaining organised and up-to-date filing systems
* Processing weekly and monthly payrolls (PAYE and CIS subcontractors)
* Calculating wages, deductions, and statutory payments
* Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
* Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment
* Reconciling credit cards and overseeing the accounts inbox
* Collating monthly payment runs and processing supplier payments
* Conducting regular bank reconciliations
* Supporting the Financial Lead with ad hoc duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Prior experience using Sage Accounts and Excel is highly desirable
* Payroll experience including CIS is an advantage
