Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. As a Seamstress, you will play a crucial role in bringing designs to life, contributing to the overall success of our production process.
Duties
* Construct, alter, and repair garments according to specifications and patterns.
* Operate sewing machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
* Measure clients or garments accurately to ensure proper fit.
* Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and notions for each project.
* Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that tools and materials are stored correctly.
* Collaborate with designers and other team members to meet project deadlines.
* Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
* Keep up-to-date with current trends in fashion and sewing techniques.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Seamstress or in a similar role is preferred.
* Proficiency in using industrial sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques.
* Strong understanding of garment construction, alterations, and fitting processes.
* Ability to read and interpret patterns and technical drawings.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A creative mindset with an eye for colour, texture, and style is advantageous.
