easyJet’s Strategy team is responsible for defining and articulating the future direction of the business, driving the airline's long-term success. The team collaborates with stakeholders across all business areas, including Commercial, Operations, and Finance, focusing on strategic planning, fleet planning, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and tackling complex challenges.
Overview of the role
We are seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to support our strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, this role focuses on developing and executing key strategic projects and supporting the annual strategic planning process. The role also involves involvement in M&A activities.
Responsibilities include:
* Develop hypothesis-led solutions to complex business challenges across various areas
* Challenge existing perspectives through analysis, benchmarking, and problem solving
* Manage progress of cross-functional, business-critical programs with disciplined project management and stakeholder engagement
* Build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders, including CEO, CFO, COO, and CCO
* Conduct high-quality quantitative and qualitative research to identify and validate opportunities
* Lead and manage teams to deliver project outcomes
* Oversee easyJet's annual strategic planning, including demand forecasting, competitive intelligence, strategic initiatives, and financial modeling in collaboration with Finance
Requirements for the role
What you need to do the role
* Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Proven ability to lead structured, data-driven problem solving in ambiguous and dynamic environments. Capable of quickly understanding new business areas and providing practical, insight-driven recommendations.
* Analytical & Financial Acumen: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools. Financial modeling experience, ideally with CFA/ACA/MBA or equivalent.
* Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in presenting complex insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders. Experience in leading workshops and interviews with senior leaders.
* Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and motivate others.
* Commercial & Business Awareness: Deep understanding of business performance, cost management, and strategic implications. Preferably experience in an in-house strategy team or top-tier consultancy, with aviation experience preferred.
* Innovation & Adaptability: Open to new ideas, resilient, and adaptable in fast-changing environments. Demonstrates ownership and drive to deliver results.

Location & hours of work
This full-time role is based in Luton, working 40 hours per week.
