Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven Regional Transport Partnerships. Within the Bus Strategy & Delivery department, focused on delivering and improving Public Transport provision in the West of Scotland, we have a great opportunity to join our Schools Agency Services & Compliance Team. About the Role Working collaboratively across SPT, in furtherance of the aims set out in the Regional Transport Strategy, we are looking for the best talent to deliver on our ambitions. The Clerical Assistant will provide administrative assistance to the Compliance Support Officer and the Schools Agency Services & Compliance Team. The Clerical Assistant will assist with the initial assessment and processing of applications for Disclosure Scotland enhanced disclosure certificates for drivers and/or attendance who wish to be employed on school transport contracts, processing of Local Authority decisions and enquiries. You will ensure that all procedures associated with vetting are adhered to. You will also assist with the maintenance of PVG and Disclosure Scotland databases and analysis of statistical data. The successful applicant will be vetted and cleared by Disclosure Scotland for PVG authorisation purposes. About You You will have experience working with Microsoft Office Packages and have knowledge of effective administration requirements. You will be a good communicator both verbal and written. You will have the ability to liaise with Contractors, Local Authority Education Departments, Disclosure Scotland and work collaboratively with SPT departments. You will have the ability to input data accurately and be able to work as part of a team. Full time hours will be 35 hours per week working Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to undertake work outwith this norm to meet the responsibilities of the post. Whilst you will be based at 131 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, SPT operate a temporary hybrid working pattern which allows 40% home working, i.e. 2 days per week Monday to Friday.
