Head of Finance
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire (On-site)
Salary: Up to £80,000 + bonus + benefits
Your pathway to Finance Director starts here.
Imagine a business where finance isn’t just a back-office function — it’s the engine room. A business where the CFO is so well-respected that people from every corner — production, sales, operations — are popping by finance for advice, support, and ideas. A business where finance leads the strategy, not just reports it.
This high-growth SME manufacturing business has quadrupled in size to £30m turnover. This is a newly created role born out of growth, designed to give you full exposure and experience needed to become a Finance Director — not in theory, but in practice. You will work closely with a CFO passionate about mentorship, developing future leaders, and pushing the boundaries of what finance can deliver through AI, automation, and data-driven insight.
Why this, why now?
* The CFO’s success is your blueprint. Having proved the value of finance as a true business partner (to ESG, procurement, IT, Health & Safety, and beyond), the CFO is ready to invest in developing your career.
* Big projects, real impact. Sage 200 system overhaul, embedding Microsoft CoPilot, unlocking new markets, exploring JV opportunities — your fingerprints will be on every strategic move.
* A culture where people stay. Low staff turnover, long tenures, and a business-wide sense of loyalty and pride. You’ll join a place where people thrive.
* Room to bring your ideas. They are on a mission for innovation, not ‘the way we’ve always done it’. If you have drive and imagination, you’ll be heard.
Who we’re looking for:
* Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant.
* Commercially astute, technically strong, and ready to lead from the front.
* Energised by innovation — particularly around AI and automation in finance.
* Ambitious, ideas-led, and craving a role that offers autonomy and growth opportunities.
