We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Administrative Support Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the ADHD Nurse Team. This dynamic team delivers clinical services across Derby City, Derbyshire County, and Southern Derbyshire.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service, supporting the team in delivering high-quality care to patients and families across a wide geographical area.
It is Trust policy that for posts that are for a time limited period, applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis and should have approval from their line manager this is possible before applying. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation, will receive a fixed term contract.
Example of Main Job Duties:
Provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the designated team, including typing and word processing of letters, memos, minutes, reports, and other routine correspondence.
Ensure appointment letters are created and sent in a timely manner, and co-ordinate the nursing team's rotas on SystemOne to reflect their individual working patterns. Accurately identify whether appointments are face-to-face or via telephone.
Send SMS text reminders to reduce the rate of 'Was Not Brought' (WNB) appointments.
Manage the nursing team's time effectively by carrying out all associated administrative tasks related to cancellations, re-booking of appointments, WNBs, and urgent messages received.
Follow internal guidelines for processing electronic referrals from departments, ensuring completion of the correct procedures to provide clarity for both the admin and nursing teams.
Produce documents, charts, and tables using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Access, and disseminate information efficiently via email.

The team are made up of a Senior nurse, Lead nurses, registered nurses, specialist support workers, Occupational therapist, a Physiotherapist, a psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrist.
