Technical Safety & Environmental Engineer The role will be based in South West with a hybrid working pattern available. The contract will be outside of IR35 and engagement will be on a 12-month renewable contract. Job Responsibilities Lead a Project Technical Safety and Environmental Team to execute a 12-month FEED Project. At peak manpower, the team will consist of 11 people on a heavy oil/sour service project in Kuwait. Work scope includes risk studies, loss prevention, noise, and environmental management. The candidate must have a degree in Engineering, a minimum of 12 years of total experience, at least 8 years in oil, gas, petrochemical industries, and a minimum of 5 years in Technical Safety and Environment. The FEED involves a heavy oil production facility with utilities, auxiliaries, and product export pipelines, including a makeup water pipeline. Work scope includes: Risk studies, loss prevention, noise, and environmental assessments. Development of HSE Plans for the Definition and Execution stages. Review of HSE legal compliance requirements. Preparation of HSE Philosophy Documents (e.g., F&G, HAC, FP). Escape, Evacuation, and Rescue Assessments (EERA). Facility siting, layout review, and assessment. Hazard Identification (HAZID), HAZOP, SIL, QRA, and asset integrity studies. Safety Critical Elements (SCE) and Performance Standards. Fire & Safety reviews, ALARP demonstrations, and active/passive fire protection. Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAS).
