Hays are currently looking for a Year 3 Teacher to place in one of our popular schools in the Blackburn area. This will be at a minimum until May half-term, there is the potential for this role to be extended to the end of the academic year for the right candidate. This could be the perfect opportunity for someone looking to be in a more local school to them or for an ECT to gain more experience within KS2. The school are keen to have a passionate and dedicated teacher to join the strong support staff network of the school and push students to reach their potential. The school has a rich and diverse curriculum and aims to promote the wellbeing of its pupils.
Your new role
During your time in this role you will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver fun and engaging lessons and activities for your pupils and prepare them to enter upper KS2. You will be required to mark and assess pupil work, amending the work when needed to suit different ability. This could be an exciting opportunity for an ECT to lead their own diverse KS2 class. You should ideally possess recent experience working in KS1 and should befortable supporting SEN children in the class. There will be a class TA present for you to work alongside. You will want to strive for academic growth for the children in your class and be confident in managing challenging behaviour to keep pupils on track.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have good knowledge of the KS2 Curriculum. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills. NQTs/ECTs are wee to apply for the role.
