This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that support business needs. It contributes to both new feature development and the enhancement of existing systems, applying software engineering principles to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain software systems, applications, or services.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure software quality and performance.
• Contribute to troubleshooting and debugging efforts, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Support platform performance, monitoring, and operational health through logging, alerting, and diagnostics.
• Engage in Agile development practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Provide technical input into project planning, estimation, and risk assessment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to support business needs.
Job Level Specifications
• Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.
• Develops solutions to defined tasks, typical assignments and projects. May be solved by the application of specialized foundational knowledge, using existing approaches and solutions.
• Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.
• Collaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.
• Actions typically affect your own work assignments and department. Erroneous decisions or failure to accomplish work may require some assistance or resources to remedy.
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: University degree preferred.
• Typical experience: 0+ years in related role or experience.
• Experience in software development using modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with application architecture, APIs, data modeling, and design patterns.
• Knowledge of source control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability in software systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Actual experience may vary depending on role complexity, geography, and internal development opportunities or a comparable mix of training, education, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working across full-stack environments (e.g., frontend frameworks, backend services, databases).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices architecture, or containerization tools.
• Exposure to system integration, monitoring practices, and operational support.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring others or contributing to technical decision-making.
