Here at Long-Term Teachers, I am currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil in a Primary School in the BS49 area of North Somerset.
This Primary School is a 2 form entry school who value themselves on providing a happy, safe and supportive learning environment where children can achieve both academically and personally.
As part of a Trust, this school holds their unique identity, but also works closely with other schools in the area to strengthen and create a successful community.
The Role
This position is a full-time opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant.
You will be expected to start from September for the whole academic year.
As a successful candidate, the school is looking for someone with great communication skills, have prior experience working with children and to have knowledge of SEND and SEMH.
You will be expected to:
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities.
* Be a resourceful candidate, who can adapt activities to meet the needs of individuals.
* Work 1:1 with children in a 1:1 environment, supporting interventions and core learning.
* Support assessment and evidencing learning.
* Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
* Challenge the pupils to achieve their best potential.
