* £29,362 per annum
* 37.5 hours per week (5 out of 7 days)
* 1 weekend in 4 (on a 2‑week rotating rota)
* Early shift: 06:30 – 14:00
* Late shift: 11:00 – 20:00
* Meal service times:
o Breakfast – 07:00 to 08:30
o Lunch – 12:00 to 13:30
o Dinner – 17:30 to 18:30

About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our friendly catering team at Kendrew Barracks.
You’ll play a key role in delivering fresh, high-quality meals for service personnel across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve delicious, high-quality meals
* Support the Head Chef with menu planning, ordering, and kitchen operations
* Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards
* Manage stock control and minimise wasteLead, train, and motivate junior kitchen team members
* Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a similar kitchen role (Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie)
* Computer literate and confident with kitchen systems
* City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
* Food Hygiene Certificate
* Team player with great communication skills
* Passion for quality food and customer satisfaction
* Flexibility to work early and late shifts, including 1 weekend in 4
