Job Summary
As a band 7 MSK physiotherapist you will have the opportunity to continue developing your clinical skills for practice. Participation in our in‑house development programme will also equip you with skills and attributes essential to the rest of your career. You will be fully integrated into a larger team with a focus on delivering high‑quality care at the right time and place. You will carry a varied caseload of musculoskeletal complaints with a view to utilising all treatment and care options as appropriate, with the support of a named supervisor.
Responsibilities
* Act in a manner that upholds public trust and professional reputation in all duties.
* Manage own caseload and defined area of service or patient type without direct supervision.
* Take a lead role in the supervision, teaching and appraisal of senior, junior and assistant physiotherapists and physiotherapy students.
* Initiate and participate in evidence‑based projects, audits and implement changes within the designated team setting.
* Deliver high‑quality care, maintaining excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Qualifications
* Diploma or Degree in physiotherapy or an equivalent physiotherapy qualification.
* Current Health Professions Council (HPC) registration.
* Understanding of clinical governance and its implications for clinical effectiveness/best practice.
Experience
* Relevant pre‑registration physiotherapy experience, including all core rotations (e.g., MSK).
Skills
* Ability to present information clearly, in writing or orally, meeting CSP standards.
* AUTONOMOUS practice with strong time‑management, prioritisation and delegation skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development, demonstrated through a CPD portfolio.
* Knowledge of the Trust’s policies on data protection, equality, health and safety.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to patient care.
Other
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
* Car driver/owner (desirable).
