We are seeking a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in the classroom. This role is vital in helping the child to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their personal and academic goals.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs.
Supporting learning activities as directed by the class teacher.
Assisting with social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and independence.
Building strong relationships with the pupil, staff, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Helping to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
Understanding of SEN strategies and approaches (desirable but not essential).
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
