We are looking for a Duty Manager with high standards and a commitment to service excellence, who wishes to develop their career by taking responsibility for overseeing the full operational management in the day- to-day running of Billingham Forum. BILLINGHAM FORUM Billingham Forum is one of the most iconic leisure destinations in the Northeast. This wet and dry community facility has: 3 swimming pools, the North East’s leading Ice Arena, extensive, modern health and fitness provision, including sauna and steam room facilities and several activity and meeting rooms. The venue also boasts Go Climb, an interactive climbing wall experience. THE ROLE You will deliver an excellent customer service, through effective supervision and leadership of all operational team members. You will ensure the smooth running of the centre’s day-to-day activities and programme, acting as the primary point for solving customer and employee issues, whilst being responsible for the security, cleanliness, health and safety of the building and everyone in it. You will be responsible for the opening and closing of the centre and take responsibility for ensuring the Forum remains a safe, smart, fully functioning community space during opening hours. Hours of work will cover the full operating hours Monday to Sunday, working on a three-week shift pattern. We are committed to safeguarding and therefore the post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. ABOUT YOU This varied and challenging role requires pace, energy, resilience and high standards. You will need to be customer-focussed, an effective leader and be able to deal with complex customer and facilities issues. Previous employee supervision and a minimum of twelve months experience in a supervisory role is essential.
