26-year-old male in Market weighton is seeking support workers for 12 hour shifts both day and nights available. Please detail your preference on your CV / Cover letter. Young man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is looking for experienced support workers/carers. Young man is a full-time powered wheelchair user with limited use of arms and lives independently.
The job will involve using a hoist, personal care, preparing and cooking meals, dressing, help with showering, help with shopping, helping with the upkeep of flat, and driving wheelchair accessible vehicle to enable him to access any activities he enjoys doing. This includes going to the pub/socialising, going to the cinema or bowling etc.
Young man is seeking workers whom are patient, outgoing, with a good light hearted demeanour and positive attitude. Must have a Driving license.
Hours required:
The nights are sleeping nights.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
