We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming team at Leigh Academy Hundred of Hoo. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our secondary phase, supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them to reach their full potential in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
This role involves providing personalised support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs, tailoring your approach to suit their individual learning styles. You will have the chance to make a significant impact on their academic progress and personal development, while working within a supportive team that is committed to fostering a positive learning experience for all.
Whether you have experience working with SEN pupils or are keen to develop your skills in this area, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact. We are looking for someone who can create meaningful relationships with students, adapt their teaching strategies to meet diverse needs, and ensure that each child receives the focused support they deserve.
Responsibilities
* Provide personalised support to students with Special Educational Needs in the secondary phase.
* Tailor teaching approaches to individual learning styles and needs.
* Develop meaningful relationships with pupils and collaborate with the support team.
* Adapt methods to ensure each child receives focused support and progresses academically and personally.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment and uphold high standards of conduct and professionalism.
* Engage in additional duties such as supporting extracurricular activities when required.

Contract and Benefits
This is a permanent position with a salary of £18,923 per annum (£25,185 full-time equivalent), working 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 1 week of inset.
