Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a warm and inclusive primary school in Thornton, currently seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team for the new academic year.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in Year 2 during a key stage of their learning journey. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, provide tailored support to individual pupils, and help create a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
* Assisting with phonics, literacy, and numeracy activities
* Helping to manage classroom behaviour and routines
* Contributing to the preparation of learning materials
* Supporting children with additional needs where required
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with KS1 pupils, ideally in Year 2
* A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning
* Relevant TA qualifications or experience (Level 2/3 desirable)
