The successful candidate will primarily handle a varied Housing Law caseload, with opportunities to also work across community care, public law, and Court of Protection matters if desired. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor passionate about access to justice and legal aid work, with scope to develop within a busy and expanding department. Key Responsibilities Managing a full housing law caseload efficiently and effectively Advising clients on appropriate legal strategies and next steps Communicating clearly and regularly with clients in line with client care standards Handling correspondence, negotiations, and advocacy where appropriate Maintaining accurate time recording and ensuring timely billing and file closure Ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements where applicable Staying up to date with legal developments in housing and related areas Carrying out administrative duties in line with internal procedures Working collaboratively within the team and providing or receiving supervision as required Skills & Experience Required Minimum 1 year PQE in Housing Law covering a broad range of matters Strong knowledge of legal aid funding and CCMS systems Experience of privately funded work (desirable) Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse client group Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong advocacy, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet deadlines Experience working to targets Strong IT skills Current Practising Certificate Commitment to access to justice and client care excellence If you would like any more information please contact Ellie at Puro Associates on 01904 571760.
