Job Introduction
We are looking for a dedicated and professional Band 5 Community Podiatrist to join our supportive team, providing specialist care across five clinic locations in Farnham, Surrey, North East Hampshire, and Surrey Heath, as well as in patients’ homes.
This role offers rotations through MSK and nail surgery, allowing you to develop specialist skills while working within a multidisciplinary team that includes vascular, orthopaedics, and community nursing. We prioritise professional growth with two dedicated training days per year, along with statutory and mandatory training to keep your knowledge up to date. Regular team meetings ensure strong collaboration and support.
This is a full-time role (Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM), but we are open to discussing part-time opportunities. If you’re passionate about delivering high-quality podiatry care and making a difference in the community, we’d love to hear from you!

Main Responsibilities
In this role, you'll manage wound and ulcer care for patients with complex systemic conditions, including diabetes, vascular disease, and systemic inflammatory disorders, as well as those with multiple comorbidities. You'll lead in clinics such as new patient assessments, nail surgery, high-risk foot clinics, and basic MSK assessments.
You will develop professional links across key care pathways, including multidisciplinary teams, vascular specialists, orthopaedics, and community nursing.
Effective communication is essential. You must convey information clearly to patients, ensuring they are informed and involved in their treatment. Using techniques like motivation, persuasion, and negotiation, you'll encourage patient cooperation for optimal clinical outcomes.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in specialist clinical rotations, gaining valuable experience while providing expert care to adults and children.
The Ideal Candidate
You will hold or soon obtain a professional degree in Podiatry and be registered with the HCPC as a Podiatrist.
A driving license and access to a car are essential, as visiting patients in the community is required.
Desirable qualifications include Diabetic Foot Module or Vascular Training, and previous NHS experience is advantageous.
