GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher to join a school in Derby from September 2025. As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum. You will support pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and personal development, helping them reach their full potential. This role will also involve working closely with teaching assistants, parents, and the wider school community to ensure every child receives the best possible education. Your Responsibilities as a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teacher : Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development. Encourage independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents. Monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback as required. Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management. Prepare resources and materials to support effective learning. Promote positive attitudes and engagement in learning activities. KS1 Teacher Requirements: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), PGCE, NQT, or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 across UK primary schools. Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
