What you will be doing
as Regulatory Manager
1. Drive the development and execution of regulatory strategies across water and wastewater services.
2. Act as the key liaison with regulators, fostering transparent and constructive partnerships.
3. Monitor regulatory changes and advise internal teams on risks and opportunities.
4. Lead the delivery of business plans, price reviews, and performance commitments.
5. Coordinate responses to regulatory consultations and ensure compliance with licence conditions.
6. Embed regulatory thinking into strategic and operational decisions across the business.
7. Provide thought leadership on the future of regulation and policy evolution.
Location- Hybrid, Reading
What you should bring to the role
8. Proven experience in regulatory, policy, or compliance roles—ideally in utilities, infrastructure, or government.
9. A deep understanding of the UK water industry and its regulatory landscape would be highly beneficial.
10. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
11. An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and policy.
12. Strategic thinker with a collaborative, proactive approach.
13. Ideally, a degree in law, economics, public policy, environmental science, or a related field (preferred).
