Job Description:
Prepare and present menu items showing variety and flair, within the cost margins specified by the hotel.
Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
Order necessary foods according to proposed business demands. Consult with the Executive Chef for guidance and authorization of orders.
Liaise with restaurant staff regarding menu availability, additions, and changes.
Coordinate with apprentices in food preparation and production as required.
Maintain cleanliness in all working areas. Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned. Report issues to the Executive Chef.
Assist and liaise with the chef on duty as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of chef experience.
